How to Install eSIM on iPhone (iOS 12.1+)

Before You Start

Important: We recommend purchasing and activating your eSIM one day before you plan to use it. The eSIM may not work for several hours after purchase due to the activation process with local providers.

Requirements

• iPhone XS, XR, or newer
• iOS 12.1 or later
• Device must be carrier unlocked
• Stable internet connection (WiFi recommended)

Installation Steps

Step 1: Check Device Compatibility

1. Go to Settings > General > About
2. Look for "Available SIM" or "Digital SIM"
3. If you don't see this, your device may not support eSIM

Step 2: Install via QR Code

1. Open Settings > Cellular/Mobile Service
2. Tap Add Cellular Plan
3. Use your camera to scan the QR code from your email
4. Follow the on-screen prompts
5. Choose a label for your plan (e.g., "Travel" or "Work")

Step 3: Configure Settings

1. Select which line to use for calls and messages
2. Choose your default line for cellular data
3. Enable "Allow Cellular Data Switching" if desired
